Here is a starter activity/revision activity that I use for Yr 10/11. The diagram is on the white board and students are to spot and eliminate the red herrings (ie those statements that are not relevant to the topic). Students then pick a relevant statement and explain it to the class with key relevant detail eg dates ,what it is etc. When a student sees any statements that are linked or connected, they draw a line between those two statements. Simply a test of knowledge and also the ability to connect ideas/knowledge.
